IRS 990 Filing Reminder

Good morning!

It is that lovely time of year when all 4-H subsidiaries (clubs,
associations, councils, etc) should be getting ready to submit their
990s online. With the 4-H club year being October to September, all 4-H
subsidiaries need to file by February 15th, 2010 for the 2009 year
.

All clubs with EIN numbers need to complete the online form. If you
have any difficulty or receive a screen that says your EIN is not
being recognized, please remember to complete the attached IRS template
letter and send it to Kate Guerdat immediately at kate_guerdat@ncsu.edu.

Once the group has successfully filed, please be sure that they print
off the final confirmation page showing that they have submitted their
990. A copy of this page needs to be kept on file at the county office.

NEW DEADLINE!!!!!!!!

ATTENTION ALL 2009 Club leaders!!!! When I returned to the office on Janurary 4th I was very disappointed when I returned to work on January 4th to find that there were not any forms, reports or award applications turned in by anyone!

I am requried by the state office to have all clubs turn in Club Charters, Club Re-Charters and financial statements for the club to be able to continue to meet. This is mandated and audited starting this year so all clubs must turn in these forms.

For this reason we have extended the deadline for club reports and awards until January 28 @5:00pm. If you had an active club in 2009 you must turn in these completed forms. If your club no longer meets you still need to complete the financial report form. The forms are below.

Below are links for End of Year Awards and Club Re-Charter Forms.
